June’s Alternative Spirit Market will be taking collections for three chosen charities/CIC Groups – 100% of the money raised on the Tombola, and given in the optional donation bucket (free entry on the door!) will be given to –
The UP Creative Community CIC – Supporting young people in Tamworth who have experienced trauma or are disengaged, to recover and re-engage through art and textiles. They have just opened a Creative Lab in Ankerside Tamworth, where just £30 will allow them to help 4 x young people to have a trauma recovery session. They also hold workshops to support isolated and vulnerable people to connect in the community.
Changes Tamworth Charity- Offering a free-to-access, person-centred approach to recovery and wellbeing. This is delivered via peer support, themed workshops, individual support and activities to encourage social inclusion. Funding is essential to allow them to keep offering free mental health services and support to those in need and in mental distress.
